Research projects
1) Critical Incidents and Psychological Adaptation (The CIPA Study- at UiO website). The CIPA Project studies the impact of critical incidents such as economic recessions, pandemics, industrial and natural catastrophes on mental health.
2) The Norwegian COVID-19 Mental Health and Adherence Project (MAP-19 at UiO website).
The MAP-19 Project investigates mental health and adherence to viral mitigation protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study has led to more than 30 international scientific publications to date.
3) The COVIDMENT Project
The COVIDMENT project is a large international consortium collaboration across seven countries and multiple Universities, led by the University of Iceland, designed to significantly advance current knowledge of mental morbidity trajectories in the COVID-19 pandemic. The project by utilises large, data-rich population-based registry resources, biobanks, and ongoing questionnaire data with longitudinal follow-up, and COVID-19 cohorts with questionnaire data including more than 565 144 participants.
Research interests
Psychotherapy research, process research, mechanisms of change, emotions, common factors, short-term dynamic psychotherapy, ISTDP, complex trauma and depression, therapist development, and latent growth curve analysis.
