Research project
The doctoral project is a naturalistic process study aimed at exploring mechanisms of change in the treatment of persistent depressive disorders. The study will examine psychological factors (including specific emotions, self-compassion, emotion regulation) and contextual factors in therapy and how they interact and relate to outcomes. The study utilizes data collected continuously throughout the treatment process at the depression department of Modum Bad and analyzes it using advanced latent growth curve models.
Research interests
Psychotherapy research, process research, mechanisms of change, emotions, common factors, short-term dynamic psychotherapy, ISTDP, complex trauma and depression, therapist development, and latent growth curve analysis.
