Research project

The doctoral project aims to investigate the feasibility and effectiveness of a two-week intensive group attention training for anxiety disorders. The study will also explore the factors contributing to change in therapy. Several studies have demonstrated significant and enduring results of intensive treatment with diagnosis-specific manuals, but few have examined intensive treatment with a transdiagnostic treatment manual in a group with multiple anxiety disorders. The goal of the study is to contribute knowledge about the utility of attention training in a short and intensive format for anxiety disorders.

Research interests

Anxiety disorders, metacognitive therapy, attention training, mechanisms of change in psychotherapy.
