The rainbow flag was raised for the first time at Modum Bad on Monday, August 29.

The flag is a symbol of diversity and inclusion in connection with the Pride celebration in Modum municipality in week 35.

The rainbow flag was raised at Modum Bad on Monday, August 29. “We want to highlight the rainbow flag as a symbol of diversity and inclusion, and at Modum Bad, everyone should feel valuable and welcome,” says acting director Jorunn Tangen Hole.

Value Document

In Modum Bad’s value document, it states: “Modum Bad is an ideal, diaconal institution – rooted in Christian and humanistic values. Our diaconal view of humanity maintains that all people have inherent dignity that no one has the right to violate. Everyone should be met with the same respect and care, regardless of life situation, beliefs, and background – and we seek to be attentive to the needs of vulnerable groups in society.”

Pride in Modum

Throughout week 35, Pride is being celebrated in Modum municipality. On Saturday, September 3, there will be a celebration with the town hall and a parade through the center as part of the Vikersund Days.
