Terje Tilden completed his doctoral dissertation in October 2010: “The course and outcome of dyadic adjustment and individual distress during and after residential couple therapy”. He is the project leader of "The STIC project: Feedback in psychotherapy" that implements electronic feedback from the client to the therapist during therapy at five treatment units in Norway, including the Family Unit, Center for Family and Relationships, Modum Bad. The clinical consequences of this project is that frequent feedback from clients, evaluating therapy progress and progress is made available to the therapists during therapy. This information can be helpful in the clinical assessment and to assist in the therapeutic process and decisions, including strengthening client cooperation and co-determination in therapy. For research purposes, this feedback information yield important data to process-outcome studies, enabling new knowledge about the mechanisms of change in psychotherapy. The project has been supported by Helse Sør-Øst (The South-East Health region) and the Norwegian Health Directorate, and we are currently applying for post-doc. funds. The project is implemented in cooperation with and under the supervision of Professors William M. Pinsof at the Family Institute at Northwestern University, Chicago, and Bruce Wampold, University of Wisconsin, Madison / Research Institute, Modum Bad.
